Electrical fault causes bedroom fire, in Denaby Main, UK - No injury

A family of five managed to escape a house fire which thanks to a smoke alarm that alerted the family to the blaze upstairs in their home in Doncaster Road, Denaby Main, UK. The fire started just after 8.20pm on Monday the 30th of March 2009. A member of the family ran upstairs and shut the door, containing the flames in the bedroom. The parents and their three children were all outside their house when fire crews arrived, a fire service spokesman said. Firefighters tackled the fire for around an hour. It is thought that the fire was started by an electrical fault.
