Electrical fault likely caused fire tragedy, in Doncaster, UK - 4 deads, including pregnant woman

On Sunday 29 March 2009, in the late morning, a house fire in Doncaster, UK, killed heavily pregnant mother Michelle, 25, dad Mark, 29 and their three-year-old boy, Lewis. His sister Sophie, 5, died in hospital few days later. Medics battled in vain to save the unborn baby — due to be born week of the 13th of April. An electrical fault in the house network is believed to have caused the inferno which swept through the family’s home in Doncaster. Firefighters, called to the property at 12.26am after the fire broke out on the ground floor, entered wearing breathing apparatus and found all four members of the family upstairs of the house.
