Fridge catches fire in Childswickham, Worcestershire, UK - 0 injured

On Monday 6th of April 2009, around 7:00 am, firefighters were called to Childswickham, near Broadway, Worcestershire, UK where a fire had broke out in the kitchen of a bungalow. Crews from Broadway and Evesham attended the incident at Vickerage Lane after someone in the property discovered the fire. Alec Mackie, spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire Service, said: “Someone in the property discovered the fire and did the right thing and shut the door and got the people out and called the fire brigade. We arrived and put it out.” The fire was caused by an electrical fault in the fridge. The kitchen was quite badly damaged.
