Stereo ignited by hot lamp starts house blaze, in Eastbourne, UK - 2 injured

On Monday the 20th of April 2009, at about 1am, a fire started in a flat in Victoria Drive, Eastbourne, UK. The fire started when heat from a free-standing lamp melted a stereo speaker mounted on the wall above it. The man and woman, both in their 20s, were taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation. They were injured breathing in fumes from the blaze .
