Dishwasher causes house blaze, in Spencers Wood, UK - 0 injured

A woman came home on saturday 11 April 2009 around 8 pm to find smoke billowing from her house after her dishwasher caught fire. Fire crew from Whitley Wood fire station, supported by a team from Wokingham Road, came to the house in Wellington Court, Spencers Wood. Firefighter Phil Holdford said: “It was a kitchen fire which was caused by the dishwasher, I believe. We recommend that you do not go out and leave the electrical appliances on if you can help it.”
