Bedding ignited by cigarette in Sale, UK - Norris Road - 1 injured

A CARELESSLY discarded cigarette sparked off a bedroom fire in a ground floor flat on Norris Road, Sale, at around 2.30am on wednesday the 1st of April 2009. A 58-year-old man who escaped from the blaze was taken to hospital by paramedics. The fire was out when fire crews arrived. They later used a positive pressure fan to remove smoke from the property.
